Dr. Vladimir Kajdan
Dr. Vladimir Kajdan is the Director of Business Excellence at Starline Architectural Windows Ltd. in Vancouver, Canada. He earned a Ph.D. in Statistics from Kiev Polytechnic University (Ukraine) in 1985. Since 2000 he has been a member of American Society for Quality (ASQ) and is also a member of the Executive Committee. He is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Certified Quality Engineer with over 20 years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing and applied statistics.
Dr. Kajdan has written 20+ publications in different aspects of quality engineering. He has been sharing his knowledge with other ASQ members through regular publications in Vancouver ASQ Newsletter and lecturing in ASQ Six Sigma Special Interest Group. He is a senior member of American Society for Quality (ASQ), a member of ASQ Vancouver section Board and ASQ Statistics Division.
On the 10th World Congress for Total Quality Management he delivered the presentation “Quality, Cost, and Business Excellence. Why are they inseparable?” In his presentation, Dr. Kajdan describes a complex approach to quality improvement as a ratio of customer satisfaction degree to cost. He shows that maximization of this ratio leads to business excellence, and demonstrates practical application of these principles at the Starline Architectural Windows Ltd.
