Starline does a full cutout/full removal as recommended by CMHC, HPO and BC Hydro.
  • Cut out old window
  • Clean and waterproof the opening
  • Nail on a new, Energy Star window
  • Tie into the building envelope
  • Foam backer rod and commercial caulking
  • 1" x 4" wood trim around windows, where required
  • Install liner & casing, where required

Do you install renovation/rebate windows?
A.
Yes - Vinyl Brickmould or renovation rebate frames "Full cutout" i.e. Piggyback installs are NOT recommended by CMHC, HPO and BC Hydro in moderate to high exposure applications. Why?
  • Poor thermal performance (=22% worse)
  • Difficult to install flashing above window or to seal
  • Smaller window, less glass area

What does it cost?

It varies depending on what you choose. We cannot give you a price without seeing your house and discussing your window choices.

What discounts, special do you offer?

We do have specials periodically. All of our pricing is very competitive. We often advertise in papers or on our website.

Do you offer rebates?
A.
There may be rebates avaliable from the provincial and federal governments. You must have an energy audit before and after. An energy auditor will be able to advise you on the rebates.

Do you offer financing?

No we do not, we put the savings into your sale.

How long will my install take?
A.
Depending on the complexity, we can install 6-10 windows per day.

Do you install in the rain or cold?
A.
Yes, the window R.O. is only open for a few minutes then we install the new window.

Are your installers Starline Employees?
A.
Yes, we have our own on staff installers. We also have a sub-contractor who is our "exclusive installer". We control and manage the installation experience from start to finish.

What steps are involved?
A.
A sales rep will visit your home to asses the install and discuss your window choices.
  • We will give you a written, detailed quote.
  • If you decide to choose Starline, we will come to your house for a final measure.
  • 50% deposit upon order entry.
  • We will call you to set-up an install date.
  • Windows may be delivered to site 1-2 days prior to the install or with our install crew.
  • Upon completion we will walk through with you and get your final approval.
  • 50% balance due upon completion.
  • Warranty info will be mailed to you.
