Condensation on the exterior of the window is not a bad thing. It means the window is performing well.
With modern low-E glass products more of the heat is kept inside and the outer pane is not heated as much. Moisture condenses out of the air onto a cold surface that is said to be below the dew point. The dew point varies with the air temperature and the amount of moisture it contains. The result is condensation on the exterior of the window.
The typical windows ordered are coloured (black).
Due to the energy step code in B.C, windows are required to be more energy efficient then before.
Lower your energy costs (less heat lost through your windows),
Reduce the level of noise coming into your home,
Help to control the condensation (longer lasting windows).
Older glazing systems not only may be aesthetically unpleasant and provide poor insulation against heat and noise, but can also cause health risks due to rust and mold spreading under their poorly sealed surface.
Style and energy efficiency.
